Truss-Type Gangways

SafeRack trusses are available in standard lengths starting at 14’8” with standard widths up to 96”. Truss depth varies on gangway length and capacity requirements. Truss-type gangway deckings can be fabricated from:

• Aluminum sheet
• Treadplate
• Open grating
• Extruded decking

Choose from four different cleat styles to improve your footing at steeper angels of operation. Rugged truss construction affords a standard distributed load capacity of 60 pounds per square foot and can be custom constructed to accommodate higher load capacities.

Gangway Options & Accessories

Add-ons are available for added convenience and safety. Replace standard decking with slotted decking to help prevent accumulation of adverse weather such as snow and sleet. A partial list of options includes:

Standard and Custom Made Gangways

SafeRack standard gangways are available in sizes up to 90’ in length with widths of up to 5 feet. Special purpose gangways exceeding 100’ in length with widths up to 8 feet are also available. Whether your needs call for a standard gangway, one based on NAvSEA drawings, or one designed “from scratch”, SafeRack’s design team has the knowledge and experience to get the job done.
