Skid Systems - Ethanol and Biodiesel
Blending / Metering / RIN Skids
Sturdy, braced, hot dipped galvanized base with lifting lugs supports a dual line Ethanol rail loading skid with prover ports, Coriolis Meters, Basket Strainers, Air Vents, Temperature Compensation, and Electrically Actuated Control Valves.
Ethanol enters the skid where it passes through the check valve and is strained of particulate in the Basket Strainer (which also helps any entrained air to escape the fluid so that is why the Air Vent is mounted on top of the strainer). The Ethanol then passes through the Coriolis meter (which can measure in both mass and density) and the RTD Temperature Sensor. The transmitter from the Coriolis meter and the RTD are constantly sending signals to the Accuload which then sends a signal back to the next valve in line, the Control Valve, which adjusts itself to allow for the proper amount of Ethanol to load based on the instantaneous volumetric calculations preformed by the Accuload to account for the thermal expansion or retraction of the Ethanol at that temperature. This is a very accurate loading system making it perfect for custody transfer. The skid's information is sent to a junction box mounted on a control panel, along with the Flow Computer, an Emergency Stop Button, and the Overfill and Grounding Equipment.
