The refinery serves the mid-continent markets of the United States and primarily processes sweet crude oils with a capacity of 125,000 barrels per day. It also has the capability to process sour crude oils when economics dictate.
MaxRack and early departure gate eliminates dangerous early departures for HollyFrontier
With robust galvanized steel columns and carriage, our MaxRack elevating handrail system was the perfect solution. As the only powered safety cage on the market, it can be operated manually in the event of power or air loss at the facility so production and safety are never compromised. The counterbalanced cage design and dual input gearbox enable smooth operation while preventing early departures which can be dangerous for operators and damaging to equipment. HollyFrontier adheres to strict values of safety and integrity, so putting workers at risk was never an option. In this case, they needed to ensure operators stayed safe with a traffic gate installed as close to the driver as possible. We were able to design a customized solution so the gate would be easily visible to drivers at every stage of the loading process. Off-the-shelf replacement parts means the customer will be able to maintain the equipment quickly and easily for the long-life of our high-quality products. Improving efficiency while prioritizing safety made this project a total win for our customer.
