As an Aldon distributor, SafeRack’s brake-sticks, safety, and brake tools are designed to keep the operator at a safe distance when manually setting and releasing railcar handbrakes. Our telescoping brake sticks coming in two sizes and eliminate the need for the operator to climb ladders, especially in wet or icy conditions. It also keeps the operator from getting between the railcars.

In addition, brake sticks allow the user to operate retainer valves and to open and close the railcar coupler knuckles when connecting railcars. Retainer valves are mechanically operated valves controlling the operation of the air brakes of the railroad car.
