Gangway installation for bulk phthalic and maleic anhydride loading

A SafeRack installation of 10 gangways at a specialty chemical company along the Upper Mississippi, known for unloading liquid railcars of Phthalic and Maleic Anhydride and shipping out various resins.

Bulk loading for Phthalic and Maleic Anhydride

The company faced a challenge in enhancing operator safety on aging platforms not designed for additional weight. SafeRack’s engineering team collaborated closely with the client, advising on necessary structural reinforcements to support new safety equipment. This collaboration led to a solution that not only addressed safety concerns but also integrated seamlessly with the existing infrastructure.

The solution provided by SafeRack was the installation of ten modified mount GX gangways, each equipped with a 6’ x 4’ elongated fall prevention safety cage, in both interior and exterior loading bays. These gangways, detailed on SafeRack’s website, are designed for durability and safety, featuring self-leveling stairs for various vehicle heights. The project was a success, significantly enhancing operational safety and efficiency. The client was highly satisfied with the outcome, which showcased SafeRack’s ability to deliver customized, innovative solutions in industrial safety.
