SafeRack is excited to announce a new partnership with Techflow Marine.

DOCKReel LogoEffective 21 April 2022, SafeRack is the exclusive distributor for Techflow Marine’s DockReel marine hose reel system in Mexico, the United States, and Canada. This revolutionary product takes all the positive features of several styles of loading and eliminates the negative from each to produce the optimal loading and unloading solution spanning multiple industries and terminal configurations. While weighing 60% less and taking up 33% of the space of a marine loading arm, the DockReel loading system can simultaneously load multiple products, regardless of the manifold configuration, something that a loading arm just can’t do. This not only reduces loading and unloading times by 50-60%, but it also results in less demurrage and a sustainable future increase in volume. When it comes to maintenance, marine loading arms require complicated schedules whereas the DockReel maintenance is minimal, and when it is necessary, there’s no downtime on the entire dock or using lifts and heavy equipment to perform the necessary actions. DockReel is an intelligent system that knows when the operational envelope is being exceeded. It senses the tension on the hose, and instead of going into an emergency condition where a breakaway is required, it will automatically unreel more hose, while simultaneously providing audible and visual alarms to inform the operations team that there is an issue. It will keep doing this until the final failsafe is required and the breakaway disconnects the hose. While this system was designed for marine loading applications in extreme environments, it can be used in truck and rail loading as well. For over 20 years, this type of package has proven to be a safe, reliable, and robust method of product transfer which is proven to reduce lifetime costs and improve hose life and integrity whilst providing a flexible, efficient loading solution.

DockReel Tanker Loading & Unloading System

Techflow Marine’s DockReel system offers significant improvements over the conventional port and terminal fluid loading arm systems such as reduced loading times, less dock space, and increased safety and reliability.

Techflow Marine is a proven global supplier of fluid transfer systems to the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, delivering solutions to major blue-chip companies worldwide.

Working together with an international petrochemical company Techflow Marine has developed a new, more efficient loading and unloading system that facilitated reduced loading times, less demurrage, and a sustainable future increase in volume.

SafeRack is also the #1 Selling Gangway in North America

SafeRack’s barge access and ship access gangways are advanced, corrosion-resistant aluminum marine gangways that are designed for OHSA-compliant worker safety, durability, and reliability in marine environments and are built to order to your required length and specifications. And they’re built to last, too. Constructed of durable marine-grade aluminum or galvanized or stainless steel, our vessel gangways are available in sizes up to 50′ in length and 5′ in width. Special-purpose gangways exceeding those measurements can also be built.

MarinaStep Marine Gangways

Marine gangways (also known as a ship brow or accommodation ladder) are the last thing an operator comes into contact with before stepping onto a vessel and the first thing they come into contact with when going back to shore, so they need to be rugged and dependable, but most importantly, they need to be safe and SafeRack is committed to workplace safety. This is why we manufacture durable and long-lasting aluminum safety products including:

  • Barge gangways can be fixed to a static structure like a complex platform system or to a mobile platform to allow easy operation and storage.
  • Ship’s brows that can be stand-alone and are put into place when necessary, and then picked up and stored on the dock or vessel when not needed
  • Barge bridges to allow for safe travel between barges
  • Custom marine ramps for safe access to and from barges and ships.
