By-Pass Loading Arm

Prevent soft tissue injuries by upgrading your loading terminal with a By-Pass Loading Arm

SafeRack typically recommends rigid pipe loading arms where possible for the following reasons:

  • Balanced design throughout their range of motion
  • Can be moved into position with ease
  • Designed not to hit the platform – protecting assets and the operator
  • Ergonomics – one-man operation

However, not every liquid chemical can travel thru a loading arm, such as caustic or corrosive chemicals. When handling these harsh chemicals, we recommend upgrading to a by-pass arm.

By-pass arms offer the same ergonomic benefits as traditional loading arms except no fluid actually runs thru the arm; rather the arm is used to support or carry the weight of the product and/or vapor lines for ease of loading.

By-Pass Loading Arms

By-Pass Loading ArmBy-Pass Loading Arms are designed to be a low-cost alternative to rigid pipe loading arms and are constructed of Hastelloy, Alloy 20, and other specialty metals used to transfer hydrochloric acid and other corrosive chemicals.

  • Cost-effective
  • Easy operation
  • Can be configured as a ‘hose handler’ to greatly improve hose loading operation
  • Excellent alternative for ‘Food Grade’ applications where swivel joints cannot be used
  • Liquid ‘by-passes’ inlet swivel joint, no metal wetted parts
  • Available in 2”, 3” & 4” sizes
